This rare beauty has a tight flamed top and a stunning burst finish. These guitars are from Jimmy's signature run with gibson in the early to mid 90's, based on his No.2 guitar from the Led Zeppelin days.
Production began on this guitar in 1995, featuring a slimmer neck profile like Jimmy's original '59 No.2. It has Grover Tulip Tuners and comes in a Light Honey Burst finish with Jimmy's signature engraved on the pickguard. The tone and volume pots are push/pull, allowing for coil split and phase inverted tones. With a 496R in the Neck and a 500T in the bridge, classic Rock & Roll PAF tones are easily achieved.
Note: this guitar had a slight split on the neck, extending from the nut down towards the first fret. This was professionally repaired some time ago and is barely visible. We have tried to photograph, but its such a great job its hard to see.
