A very nice piece, this is a Gibson 1980 Les Paul Standard in a particularly light Gold Top finish...
The guitar has seen some play in its lifetime but it is in good condition considering its nearly 40-year age. Usual bucklerash is present on the back and there are some indentations as well. The top is mostly clean; however, we would point out that there is an instance of a single lacquer check that runs the length of the body near the top, located between the toggle switch tip and bass side of the pickups, the check runs lengthways along the body. It is only a very thin line, but is there nonetheless.
The original frets still have life in them yet and are the older style shallow Gibson frets.
The maple is also quite unusual of a Les Paul, but was used regularly during this period.
Includes original Gibson case.
