The Bullet Stratocaster is crafted with a basswood body; a versatile and lightweight tonewood chosen for its balanced frequency response. The body has contours in all the right places, helping you sit and stand comfortably with the instrument while enabling easy access to the whole length of the fingerboard. The neck is made of maple and topped with a laurel fingerboard. The neck has a comfortable "C"-shaped profile that sits easily in the left hand and gives a fast playing feel with the 9.5'' radius fingerboard. The body's double cutaway design is specially crafted to allow easy access to all 21 frets for high-range solo playing.
The Bullet Stratocaster is loaded with a HSS (Humbucker, Single coil, Single coil) pickup configuration. This is an incredibly versatile setup and gives you the choice between dark and powerful humbucker tones alongside bright and nuanced single coil sounds. The pickups are wired to a 5-way switch which gives you 5 distinct tones to choose between, with biting bridge-position sounds, mellow neck-position tones, and all manner of in-between sounds which will instantly remind you of countless recordings. This pickup combination is incredibly versatile and partly the reason why the Stratocaster is often chosen as a session player's guitar, and by other artists in almost every genre of music. The HSS arrangement will allow you to play in many genres of music, from powerful rock sounds through to jazz, funk, country, pop, blues; the only limits are your imagination.
The Bullet Stratocaster has a vintage-style tremolo bridge which allows you to alter the pitch of the guitar strings via the whammy bar, either on individual notes or complete chords. This lets you achieve subtle whammy effects - as used by Hank Marvin - or the more extreme effects used by Jimi Hendrix and others. The Squier Bullet Stratocaster also has improved machine heads which ensure you'll stay in tune for as long as possible during longer playing sessions; ideal for practicing, rehearsing and gigging.
