With the first iteration of the Tumnus, Wampler perfected their take on THE mythical Overdrive sound. With the release of the Tumnus Deluxe, Brian has set the new standard. Thanks in large part to the design's articulate-sounding buffer, all of the clarity, punch and detailed breakup of the original Tumnus are still there. If you prefer the sound of true bypass, just push the side button on the right hand side for more uncoloured tonal purity. Brian also injected the Tumnus Deluxe with a level of tonal flexibility not seen on this style of drive pedal. With active bass, mid and treble controls, the same as the very pedal that inspired this had, encourages you to shape your own tone according to the demands of your own individual rig. 

Whether you are boosting another pedal or driving an amp, you can use this pedal as a stand-alone overdrive or have it always active to 'sweeten your tone'. Either way, you will find the Tumnus Drive Deluxe's wide capabilities make it useful in many musical situations and far more than just another clone.
