The SIS (Screw In Solderless) Kit from Evidence Audio is a practical set for the easy assembling of multiple patch cables. The kit contains 10ft Monorail cable and 10 solderless SIS plugs.
The solderless SIS plugs from Evidence Audio are made of brass and are undoubtedly among the best solderless plugs on the market. The inside of the tip of the SIS plug is carefully machined to have threads of a precise size and pitch. These threads cut and re-shape the soft conductor of the cable when you turn it around several times and guarantee an absolutely solid and secure connection between cable and plug. The combination of Monorail Cable and SIS plugs offers musicians the opportunity for a quick and easy assembling of their own cables without having to make compromises in the sound quality or the stability.
The Monorail Cable is an analog audio cable whose primary application is the transfer of a single channel of analog audio in small/tight spaces such as on pedal boards, inside racks and in studio consoles. The cable has an outer diameter of 3.9 mm (0.155"). This compact size allows it to be used with most available solderless plugs. The Monorail makes a solid electrical and mechanical connection but with the outstanding sonic qualities offered by its superior materials and design. It is designed to pass audio with as little change as possible for an honest presentation of associated equipment and is best suited for fixed installations where the cable will not be moved and the priority is great sound in a small package.
