The Fooz pedal is designed much like a classic analogue synthesizer, featuring different blocks that you can us in a variety of ways. You can replicate the sound and feel of a classic synth, use the Fooz as a straight up fuzz pedal, or combine each block to deliver tremolo, auto-wah, fuzz-wah, rhythmic filter, or "cocked" wah effects.
Much like a real analogue synth (which uses an oscillator, filter, LFO, and envelope), the Seymour Funcan Fooz features LFO, envelope, fuzz, and filter sections to create numerous unique sounds and textures. Its fuzz section uses a heavily saturated square wave fuzz to basically turn your guitar into the 'oscillator'. This lets you shape and sculpt your guitar's tone with the other sections - much like a real synth.
Next comes the filter section. You can choice between a low pass filter (like a classic synth) or a band pass filter (much like a wah), letting you create a variety of stunning sounds for any situation. Once you have found your ideal sound, you can then adjust the LFO and envelope to add the modulation.
For more control, the Fooz Pedal is also equipped with an expression input to give you external control over the different sections. Simply connect your expression pedal and use the DIP switches to select which parameter to adjust. The DIP switches also off extra control over the envelope section, letting you change its control parameters and envelope direction.
