Something... a little extra or excessive perhaps? Well, the Old Blood Noise Endeavors Excess is everything you need for your next ripping session in 1985 and beyond. The goods - high gain distortion, lush chorus and slap-back delay in a selectable series or parallel signal path.
The Old Blood Noise Endeavors Excess is a multitude of specific sounds, both old and new and all in one box. The chain of effects can be switched between Series, for Distortion into Modulation or Parallel, for Distortion and Modulation running side by side - a unique combination of clean and dirty.
The Excess has separate volume controls for both the Distortion and the Modulation effects. The modulation mode is changed via the secondary stomp-switch, this changes between chorus and delay, while the signal path can be changed by the SERIES / PARALLEL toggle switch.
With these simple controls at hand, you’re able to conjure everything from thunderous walls of distortion, thick modulated lead sounds, reverberating shoegaze tones and even unique pitch and flanger sounds. This pedal truly is excessive in all the best ways possible.
The expression input lets you take control over either the Rate/Time or Depth/Feedback knobs (selectable via the external toggle switch on the back) on the fly via an external expression pedal. Letting you go from spatial rhythm distortion to drippy modulated lead sounds and all the way to highly expressive flanger sounds simply by rocking your foot.
