The Anasounds Cerberus was designed to satisfy the needs of many guitarists who want a versatile, flexible overdrive with different sound options in one single stompbox. The basic sound of the pedal is a pleasantly transparent overdrive that retains the character of your own equipment and enhances the sound with a rich, harmonic distortion. The real highlight of the pedal is the clipping switch: Three selectable positions offer three different clippings - perfect for jazz, blues and rock. The spectrum of possible sounds ranges from classic Marshall Plexi tones over different overdrive styles to a nice lead distortion.
The first setting uses a soft clipping LED, the second setting uses a hard clipping with four or five small threshold silicon diodes and the third setting uses a hard clipping with two high threshold silicon diodes. In addition, the pedal comes with internal controls for Roll-Off and Light. The Light control changes the brightness of the status LED and the Roll-Off trim determines the frequency saturation in the overdrive section - depending on the setting, the sound ranges from clean, creamy basses up to rich harmonic overtones. The internal Tone switch is a simple switch to adjust the frequency range of your Tone potentiometer, the Asymmetric switch chooses whether you want a fifth diode or not on the second position of the clipping selector. So, you will get an asymmetrical clipping.
