The Strategy Boost is an analog preamp and op-amp based clean boost that can fatten anemic single coil pickups or add sparkle to thick humbucker tones. There’s plenty of gain on tap so you can easily go from a subtle boost for solos, choruses, or any other occasion that requires just a bit more volume – or – you can slam the front end of your amp for an incredible, fat-yet-articulate overdrive.
An op-amp based pre-amp/boost with a wide tone sweep. The Strategy Boost is designed around a Burr Brown audiophile IC. The tonal characteristics are achieved through Tropical Fish and Silver Mica capacitors. The Strategy and has enough volume on tap to pummel your amp into break up territory. The tone knob can go from adding nice weight to delivering a thin Strat-like quack. Most finishes are done using traditional colours found on the legendary double cut it resembles. The use of classic knobs, pickguard and jackplate make for a pedal that feels familiar and fresh. An all analog shot of adrenaline!
